Our company had the pleasure of trying out a demonstration of the RPB Nova 3 respirator system in our blast yard, and the feedback received was unanimously positive. It was so well received that we instituted a program where any blaster in the field was given an option for us to purchase the hood and we would payroll deduct them for the full amount. We had 30 employees buy into it and are getting many requests for more.
Most of the employees extol how lightweight the hood feels, almost as if it weighs no more than their hardhat. Others enjoy the wide field of vision that the Nova 3 offers. One thing that has impressed us is the addition of the peel off cassette lenses. These drastically reduce downtime due to having to change outer lenses and saves money as well.
A nice added benefit is the half face GVS-RPB Elipse respirator that fits perfectly in the hood while wearing it. This satisfies certain job site requirements of having to wear a respirator with an organic filter while also having supplied breathing air.
All in all, it was a great investment in our company. The units are lightweight, conform to the blasters head organically, and they look great! We look forward to continued business with RPB in the future.
